After years of delays, Kansas City’s long-awaited reparations study is finally underway. The Mayor’s Commission on Reparations, sworn in May 2023, has hired a research team to begin a 16-month project examining how city policies harmed Black residents — and what remedies may be possible.

Trump links autism with Tylenol, backs folic acid as treatment. President Donald Trump said on Monday there was a link between the use of popular over-the-counter pain medication Tylenol and the development of autism during pregnancy, a claim which many doctors dispute. (Reuters)

A jury will look at whether Amazon tricked customers into joining Prime — and made it hard to leave. A federal trial beginning in Amazon’s hometown this week is set to examine whether the online retailing giant tricked customers into signing up for its Prime service and made it difficult to cancel after they did so. (AP News)

Trivia Answer: B. Halle Berry. Halle Berry was the first Black woman to win an Academy Award for Best Actress, receiving the honor in 2002 for her role in the film Monster’s Ball. Her historic win at the 74th Academy Awards was a significant moment, and she dedicated it to other Black women who had paved the way in Hollywood.
