Jazz Flutist Amber Underwood returns to The Ship for a free Thursday evening show.

Jazz flutist, educator, band director, and band leader, Amber Underwood is a native of Kansas City and has been entertaining and performing music since the tender age of 8.

Amber is our modern-day soul and contemporary jazz flautist and a force to be reckoned with. Her debut album, ‘This Is Me’ has gained International recognition and was name one of the Top 25 Jazz Albums of Kansas City in 2020. Amber has also appeared on jazz playlists and featured on various recordings from all genres. Amber ‘Flutienastiness’ Underwood is the future of contemporary soul jazz flute!

Free Jazz Thursday shows at The Ship are a good way to discover emerging local musical talent in a cozy, intimate setting. The shows are free to attend, but your donations are appreciated to help us offset costs and pay the performers. All seating is first come, first served, so please arrive early to get the best choice. The Ship is open all day and serves some of the finest food and beverages in the area.
