Kansas City Jazz Academy – Fall Semester, 2026

The Kansas City Jazz Academy offers jazz instruction for middle and high school students who want to grow as musicians and performers. Students meet weekly on Saturdays for combo rehearsals, vocal jazz, and piano instruction led by professional musicians and educators in Kansas City’s historic 18th & Vine Jazz District.

Early-bird tuition is $300 per student through August 31st. Beginning September 1, regular tuition is $400 per student. A limited number of partial scholarships are available through an application process.

Program Details

Dates: September 5th – December 13th, 2026

Rehearsal Days: Saturdays

Time & Location:

Instrumental Combos, Vocal Jazz & Piano Lessons: 1:00–3:00 PM at the Gem Theater / American Jazz Museum (1615–1616 E. 18th Street, Kansas City, MO 64108)

Auditions for All Students:

• Saturday, September 5, 2026 | 1:00 PM | The Gem Theater
• All students must audition for placement.
• Audition information can be found at this link.

Early Bird Registration Fee: $300 per student through August 31st

Regular Registration Fee: $400 after September 1st. Registration closes September 12th.
