The Community Voice will publish its annual Juneteenth Community Calendar in both our May 22 and June 12 print editions.
If your organization is planning a Juneteenth-related event, we encourage you to submit it for inclusion. For earlier events, we strongly encourage getting them into our May 22 issue to maximize visibility before holiday activities begin. Many readers begin searching for Juneteenth events weeks in advance — especially online.
Best Option: Submit Your Event Online
You can post your event directly to our online community calendar, where it will be available for both print readers and online audiences.
Go to:
The Community Voice Events Calendar
On the toolbar, click Events Calendar, then select Submit Community Events.
Or go directly to:
Submit Community Events
Online listings also allow you to upload your event flyer or image to help your event stand out.
If you submit your event this way, we will pull your information from the calendar for print inclusion. That gives your event two opportunities to reach readers — online and in print.
Email Option
You may also email your event information to Elaine at: guillory@tcvpub.com.
Emailed will appear in print, but they miss the added visibility of our online calendar, where readers search for events throughout the season.
Also, while you may submit flyers via email, due to space limitations we will only be able to include a limited number of flyers in the print edition.
Deadlines
For the May 22 Issue:
Submit your event online or by email no later than Monday, May 18 at 5 p.m.
For the June 12 Issue:
Submit your event online or by email no later than Monday, June 8 at 5 p.m.
Our Calendar is FREE
