Restaurant Week returns for 2024 with multicourse meal deals for diners all for a good cause. Scheduled over ten days, restaurant “week” allows area eateries to show off new dishes or offer staples to new guests with multiple courses, typically for $20 or $40, with a portion of funds going to a local nonprofit.

Now in its 14th year, KC Restaurant Week has raised $3.3M for various area charities. Past beneficiaries include Harvesters, Don Bosco Centers, Boys & Girls Clubs of KC, and Kansas City Community Gardens. This year’s main charity is Kanbe’s Markets, which looks to eliminate food waste and combat food desserts by redirecting produce to where it’s needed most.

From Jan. 12-21, over 200 restaurants in the KC area are participating. While there are many tasty options, here are seven Black-owned establishments taking part in KC Restaurant Week that range from casual to fine dining fare.
