Every semester, the International Student Union (ISU), in collaboration with several other student groups and organizations at WSU, organizes an international food festival called InterFest. During this festival, international students prepare dishes from their native countries. This popular campus tradition showcases ethnic cuisine, and for a small price, allows the WSU community and visitors to share and taste diverse food and delicacies.
Cost: $1 per ticket. Some food items will require multiple tickets.

Join us for the inaugural Nepalese Culture Night! Enjoy a cultural celebration with music, dance and Nepalese cuisine. Nepalese Culture Night includes an early celebration of Dashain, a national festival celebrated on a full moon night. Dashain signifies the victory of good over evil and is also a celebration of female power. This year, Dashain will fall on Oct. 11, 2016.

Location: Beggs Ballroom, Third floor, Rhatigan Student Center
Garba Night is an extension of the nightly dance festival celebrated by the mainly Gujarati community in Greater Wichita through the Bhakta Samaj. The night consists of group dancing in circles around a center, and celebration of the good forces over evil. The event is celebrated with fruits and special communion (Prasad) made from semolina, nuts and raisins. The dancing starts slow and then acquires a tempo and includes synchronized dancing with short sticks at drum beats.
