Every Vote Counts

     •Go to www.canivote.org. This is also a good place to check your current voter registration address and also to determine what polling location you’re assigned to use. 

     •Other things to consider, if you are registered to vote, but you’ve moved, update your registration to match it. 

     •Make sure you have an acceptable and valid (not expired) photo ID. Kansas is one of 19 states in the country that requires a photo ID to vote. 

     •Get all of these things done well before the election. This isn’t something you can run down to the election office and take care of a day or two before the election. 

The actual deadline to be completely registered – application and proof of citizenship turned in – for the November 8 election is Oct. 18, 2016. That’s three whole weeks before the election.
