Billed as “America’s Premier Pink Floyd Tribute Show\,” the event aims to establish a new benchmark for benefit concert attendance in Wichita while honoring cancer survivors\, fighters\, caregivers\, and families throughout Kansas affected by cancer. Every performer in the band is from Kansas and has been directly impacted by cancer through family members\, close friends\, or loved ones. Several have family members currently in remission while others have suffered heartbreaking losses. The concert is dedicated to survivors\, fighters\, caregivers\, and those remembered. “This is much more than a concert\,” said Paul Steger\, founder and producer of AmeriFloyd. “Every member of this production has experienced cancer’s impact firsthand. On Saturday\, August 22\, nearly 100 bands and artists will take over 10 venues across the city for a weekend of live music\, art\, connection\, and discovery. \n\n\n\nFrom indie rock and hip-hop to punk\, EDM\, folk\, and everything in between\, Wichita Forever is built around one idea: local music deserves to be heard\, supported\, and celebrated year-round. \n\n\n\nThis is not a single-site festival. It’s a decentralized network of venues\, DIY spaces\, artists\, and local businesses working together to turn Wichita into a living\, breathing music festival for one weekend.
