Mt. Carmel Church of God in Christ, which has a rich history of community development in Wyandotte County, invites the community to share in the joy of their official installing of Elder Jason Sims as Senior Pastor. The installation service will be held, Sun., Dec. 29, 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel, 2025 N. 12th St., Kansas City, KS.

For the past three years, Pastor J has served as Mt. Carmel’s assistant pastor, walking hand and hand with his father and Bishop Ervin Sims, Jr. Pastor J was ordained as an elder in 2001 and has dedicated his life to winning souls for Christ. He’s known for having an “organic gift from God” to lead and provide detailed administration.

His father, Bishop Sims is retiring after 40 years of pastoral ministry.

Elder Sims, like his father, is a University of Kansas Engineering Major. He works for one of the largest transportation consulting firms in the world, where as director of traffic management, he is responsible for over 200 people and a $60 million portfolio.

Elder Sims has been married to LaSandra Sims for 14 years and they have four beautiful children.
