Police have identified the bicyclist killed in a crash Tuesday night (Aug. 14) as Philip Marzett, 60, of Wichita.

He died after being struck by a truck while riding his bike northeast Wichita near 21st Street North and Oliver. 

The incident occurred at about 9:15 p.m. in the 5300 block of E. 21st St. North, east of Oliver.

Marzett was crossing 21st Street on his bike when hit by a 2003 white Chevy truck, driven by a 63-year-old man traveling east bound.

Sedgwick County dispatch told KSN news he was not breathing when emergency crews arrived on the scene. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Marzett lived in the area. His family was on the scene after the crash and were notified of his death.
