Pastor, vocalist, songwriter, choir director, writer, actor and choreographer JKingdom will headline The Faith Tour, when it makes a stop in Wichita on June 9. The tour of young fresh Gospel performers also features Ryan Stewart and 1Accord.

Pastor Michael Fisher (a.k.a JKingdom) brings a fresh, new, mainstream sound and dynamic to Gospel music. His uplifting, electrifying and high-energy performances have earned him major notoriety and a faithful fan base in the faith community.

The Senior Pastor of Greater Zion Church in Compton, CA, he is also well known as the founder and leader of “Voices of Destiny,” a 50+ voice choir he founded in 2005. Many of the choir members were troubled and headed on the wrong path prior to joining the church. JKingdom’s goal for this prolific groundbreaking vision was to target an untapped audience, a generation that did not want to hear about Jesus in the traditional way.

“Voices of Destiny” as a pioneering choir introducing a blend of modern and traditional songs and lyrics with great beats topped off with a high energy Broadway/Hip Hop style production. This trend would speak to the masses. In 2010, the choir competed in and won the national Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound choir competition. That win catapulted the group into the national limelight.

The group 1Accord, a Gospel Hip Hop/Rap Group, and Ryan Stewart will round out the evening of your and inspiration performers. The concert, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2653 N. Hillside, Wichita is hosted by Rev. LeSean Tarkington, Sr. Pastor Grant Chapel AME.
