Rev. Wallace hartsfield

The community will have several opportunities to pay their respect for the Rev. Dr. Wallace S. Hartsfield, who passed away Thurs., Jan. 23, at age 90.  

Wallace, known as the Dean of Kanss City Ministers, was the senior pastor at Metropolitan Baptist Church for more than 40 years.  He also served as senior pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Wichita for four years.

On Wed. Feb. 5, from Noon to 7 p.m Dr. Hartsfield's body will lie in repose at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church.

On Thurs., Feb. 6, 6:30 p.m., there will be a community night service at Macedonia Baptist Church.

His body will also lie in repose at Macedonia Baptist Church on Fri., Feb. 7  from 8 - 11 a.m. 

Funeral services will be held on Fri., Feb. 7, 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. 

His body will be entombed at Mount Moriah Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church Renovations Endeavor.
